I was doing<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>really well before that.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cMy schedule is crazy with travel and it makes it so hard to stay on<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>track.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cI get caught just grabbing fast food when I am traveling.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cMeetings all day and dinners late into the evening make it really hard<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>to eat healthy when I am traveling.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Do any of these sound remotely familiar?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Truth. If you travel often for work, it is definitely more challenging to<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>stick to your eating plan that you have at home. More challenging, but<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>not impossible. It also makes a big difference in what foods to take<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>with you if you are traveling in a car or plane. There are many more<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>options if you travel by car and can access a cooler.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Aim for progress in your travel food choices, not perfection.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Before we dive into the detailed list of travel foods, here are a few tips<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>to be used as a guide so that you do not find yourself in the<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>fast food line day after day.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>#1 &#8211; Hydration.<\/strong> It&#8217;s easy to become dehydrated while traveling,<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>which can often be mistaken for hunger, leading to unnecessary<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>snacking. Always take a reusable water bottle and drink water<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>regularly throughout the day. Daily hydration should be 1\/2 your<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>body weight in ounces before exercise and more when you fly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>#2 &#8211; Preparation.<\/strong> Before leaving, research the area you are<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>traveling to and find healthy eating options. Look for restaurants<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>that offer nutritious meals, and check if your hotel or VRBO<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>provides facilities for preparing simple meals. Packing healthy<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>snacks can prevent reliance on unhealthy airport or convenience<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>store options. Instead of grabbing a candy bar, having a handful<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>of almonds can stabilize your energy levels and provide<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>essential nutrients.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>#3 &#8211; Eating out.<\/strong> Making informed choices can significantly impact<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>your diet, daily function, sleep, and overall wellness. If you have client<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>dinners scheduled, enjoy the dinner but opt for a lighter lunch<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>with plenty of vegetables.
