The Kids Community Service (KCS) program teaches middle school and high school students about our Rancho Coastal Humane Society and the animals we consider family. Students earn community service hours by helping to maintain the facilities by washing dishes, folding laundry, sorting donations, bagging food and any other helpful tasks. Participants can also interact with our adoptable animals.
Space is limited to six students for each session. The month-long programs meet on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 pm once a week for four weeks (see table schedule).
KCS is the only volunteer opportunity for children under the age of 18. It’s only offered during the school year and not during summer or school breaks.
